Diane has more than 25 years experience within the professional service industry. As Mirick O'Connell's executive director, she has overall management responsibility for the business functions of the firm, including finances, human resources, operations, facilities, information systems and marketing. She also plays an integral part in the strategic planning, practice management and business development for the firm. Diane was a driving force behind such initiatives as the firm's Westborough expansion, significant renovations to the firm's Worcester office, and rebranding the firm's image, including revitalizing the website.
She actively participates in such industry groups as the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), the ALA Boston Chapter, and the International Legal Technology Association. She is a recipient of the Crown & Service Award and has been recognized as one of the "Outstanding Young Women in America."
Prior to joining the firm, she was the chief information officer for the law firm of Gadby Hannah LLP. Diane also held a variety of management-level positions with Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC and with Bain & Company in Boston.
Diane has always served as a leader and mentor to other women throughout her career. She is the first female executive director in Mirick O'Connell's history and the first female member of the firm's Management Committee. She is also dedicated to programs that support women and girls in Central Massachusetts. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Female Leadership Interest Council (FLIC), a non-profit organization designed to educate and assist women with career, work/family balance and business skills.
Diane is an active volunteer in the Northborough Chapter of The Neighbor Brigade. The Neighborhood Brigade is a network of volunteers who provide support to community families in crisis. In the event of significant challenges such as illness or unexpected tragedy, Diane volunteers to provide home cooked meals, transportation and many other simple acts of kindness.
In addition, Diane exemplifies the firm's commitment to our communities by spearheading "Mirick Gives Back," a program that encourages firm-wide philanthropy, including an annual United Way fundraising campaign, Mirick O'Connell Heart Walk Team, Go Red for Women Day in support of the American Heart Association, a Giving Tree Program that grants holiday wishes for needy children, and the firm's holiday coat and food drives, among other initiatives. She also personally supports local charities, such as the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.
Diane was a recipient of the Worcester Business Journal's "Outstanding Women in Business" award in 2013.
