- Developed and executed a complex litigation-based strategy to secure sole ownership of an IP portfolio relating to client’s core business technology
- Strategically initiated re-examination proceedings of patents asserted against a client in infringement proceedings resulting in successful resolution of the litigation
- Secured a permanent injunction and contempt of court decision, a verdict of willful patent infringement, and a multi-million dollar damage award against a client’s primary competitor
- Assisted a medical device manufacturer with in-licensing intellectual property from a university
- Provided strategic advice to a university regarding costs and advantages of foreign patent prosecution
- Built a portfolio of U.S. and foreign patents for a publicly-traded innovative drug developer that was licensed by a large pharmaceutical company
- Developed a patent portfolio with founding inventors for an orthodontic consumer baby product, and successfully out-licensed the portfolio to an international manufacturer
- Assisted a non-profit licensing office with strategic development and positioning of an international patent portfolio, based on a university small-molecule research program, for a pharmaceutical partnership
- Obtained U.S. and foreign patent protection for a university for new anti-anxiety compounds with reduced side effects
- Successfully negotiated business agreements for further development and distribution of custom medical devices, laboratory instruments and dental products
- Developed and implemented licensing and product development programs for a start-up biotechnology company
- Successfully represented a specialized research organization that offers proprietary model systems for research in diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular disease and cancer in the private placement of Series A Preferred Stock to private foundations and individuals
- Successfully placed shares of Series D Preferred Stock to venture capital firms, private foundations and individuals for a company that develops protein sensors for diagnostics and therapeutics
